It’s no secret that LED bulbs are highly efficient, but are they worth the higher price tag? LED bulbs may last at least 10 years or longer, as opposed to incandescent and halogen bulbs that last on average only about one year. Longer-lasting means less replacement bulbs to buy, so the investment will save on your electric bill over time.

Most people are used to the warm yellow glow of incandescent and halogen bulbs. LED bulbs boast a variety of shades including cooler shades of white and daylight hues. An LED that uses 60 watts is in no way comparable to an incandescent bulb that uses 60 watts. LEDs naturally have a lower watt rating and emit less heat compared to other traditional lights.

In all, LED lights are worth the investment.
